Stuart Strachan and Paul McNair from wellington AC continue to catch big bags from the boat . The Hectors bay and pollocks shore are stuffed with fish.

2010 will see Harelaw stocked weekly with the emphasis on fish in the 2-4lb range along with fish from 4Ib to double figures for the specimen hunters...

I have revised the brown trout policy and 1 brown per angler will be allowed in 2010 but anglers are still encouraged to return these native fish.

The water levels were dropped in january and all danger areas and shallows have been mapped and marked with buoys or signposts to prevent damage to boats and engines. Boat anglers must study the overview map at the lodge to familiarise themselves with these danger zones.

A winter netting programme produced some big Perch, Pike, Eels and Roach. All course species including Pike must be returned alive and unharmed to the water. Any angler caught killing coarse fish will be banned from Harelaw Fishery without hesitation.

I will try to make sure you have a good days sport and i am happy to discuss any questions you may have. If you are new to fishing or of limited ability, I will provide all the guidance I can to get you catching fish!

All abilities are welcome at Harelaw and will be made most welcome.

Best regards and tight lines in 2010!
